Place the fountain on a level surface. Fill the base with liquid. DO NOT USE CARBONATED LIQUIDS OR BEVERAGES WITH PULP. Connect the fountain to a power source. DO NOT USE AN EXTENSION CORD. Turn the fountain on and let it run for 10 minutes with the liquid in it. This allows the pump to prime itself and ensure a good flow.

Fountains may splash, so use caution when choosing your location.
